Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist who will be responsible for operating various machines including Lathe, OD Grinder, Surface Grinder, Knee Mill, Bridgeport Mill, and Radial Drill. The role involves interpreting drawings and completing the machining of parts from start to finish, including setup, machining, and tear down of the machine for subsequent jobs.
Machinist will train with lead machinist.
Responsibilities
+ Operate numerous types of manual machinery including lathe, mills, and grinders.
+ Work from drawings to machine parts from start to finish.
+ Set up, operate, and tear down machines for each job.
+ Determine the appropriate machine for each task.
+ Ensure tolerances are met as specified in the drawings, ranging from .1 to .03 plus or minus.
+ Handle job sizes ranging from 1-20 parts, typically averaging around 10.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience with manual machining.
+ Experience with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience in precision measuring and using calipers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
