    Bridge Inspection Team Leader – Make an Impact on Infrastructure Safety

    In this role, you’ll oversee inspections, document structural conditions, and deliver detailed reports using agency-approved tools. You’ll collaborate closely with an Assistant Team Leader (ATL) and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Your leadership will help shape the future of infrastructure safety.

    What You’ll Do

    + Lead inspections of bridges and related structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    + Prepare clear, comprehensive condition reports using agency-provided software.

    + Coordinate with your ATL to keep projects on schedule.

    + Mentor and develop junior team members.

    + Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

    What We’re Looking For

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can turn technical findings into clear, actionable reports.

    + A commitment to quality and adherence to technical standards.

    + Recent experience with bridge inspections for agencies like NYSDOT, TBTA, Port Authority of NY & NJ, NYSTA, NJDOT, or similar.

    Qualifications

    + NYS or NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license (with ability to transfer between states).

    + Completion of NHI Bridge Safety Inspection Course or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop.

    + Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a work truck or van.

    This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
