Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dulles, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to handle a variety of financial processes and ensure accurate and efficient management of accounts payable operations. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in relevant software tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment approvals.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Ensure proper coding of invoices and account allocations.

• Process payments through ACH transfers and check runs.

• Collaborate with accounting teams to maintain and reconcile the general ledger.

• Utilize Sage accounting software for efficient financial management and reporting.

• Maintain detailed and organized records of all accounts payable activities.

• Prepare and analyze reports to support financial decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and payment handling.

• Strong knowledge of account coding and general ledger reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with ACH payment processing and check runs.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams.
