Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable tasks, while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and analytical skills to ensure accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Enter data for accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments promptly and accurately.

• Organize and maintain financial records, files, and supporting documentation.

• Assist in reconciling bank statements and conducting account reviews.

• Prepare and post basic journal entries to support accounting operations.

• Collaborate on payroll processing and verify time and attendance data.

• Address inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation.

• Provide assistance during audits by gathering and organizing requested financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

• Ability to maintain organized records and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and journal entries.

• Effective communication skills to respond to inquiries and collaborate with team members.

• Previous experience in payroll processing is a plus.
