Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Santa Fe Springs, California. This position emphasizes a range of accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, performing cash reconciliations, and contributing to financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and wire transactions.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Conduct accounts receivable collections and follow up on overdue payments to maintain strong cash flow.

• Reconcile cash receipts from various sales channels such as e-commerce platforms and marketplace settlements.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales reports, merchant deposits, and bank transactions.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of financial reports.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and advanced Excel functions for reporting and analysis.

• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve billing and payment issues efficiently.

• Support audit requests by providing required documentation and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including exposure to accounts payable and receivable.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.

• High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
