The Opportunity We are looking for a highly technical Sr. Systems Manager to join a leading global financial exchange network. This is a newly created position designed for a "builder" who thrives on optimizing complex systems, automating manual processes, and owning the technical roadmap for enterprise financial systems. Unlike traditional management roles, this position is focused on systems and process architecture. You will lead a talented team of contractors as a technical subject matter expert, ensuring our financial infrastructure scales with our rapid global growth.

The Role As the Sr. Systems Manager, you will be the primary architect and engineer for our IBM TM1 (Planning Analytics) environment. We are looking for a candidate who wants to "get under the hood"—customizing systems, building robust data processes, and eliminating manual tasks through automation.

Key Responsibilities: System Customization: Lead the technical design and customization of IBM TM1 to meet complex business logic requirements. Automation & Engineering: Develop and maintain scripts (Python or PowerShell) to automate system tasks, data loads, and environment management. Data Engineering: Write complex SQL queries and manage data pipelines to ensure high performance and data integrity across systems. Process Architecture: Evaluate current workflows and build scalable, automated processes to replace legacy manual efforts. Technical Oversight: Act as the technical lead for a team of 10+ contractors, providing "dotted line" mentorship and code/architecture reviews. Why Join Us? Requirements What We’re Looking For This is a highly technical role. We are specifically seeking an engineer, not a "techno-functional" consultant or Project Manager. Required Technical Stack: IBM TM1 / Planning Analytics: Deep, hands-on experience in architecture, rules, and TI process development. Scripting: Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for system automation. SQL: Strong ability to query, manipulate, and engineer data within relational databases. The "Builder" Mindset: A proven track record of taking a manual process and turning it into a robust, automated system. Preferred Experience Background in Data Engineering or Systems Architecture. Experience in high-stakes environments (Finance, Fintech, or large-scale SaaS). Experience overseeing the work of external contractors or consultants.
