The successful candidate will design and execute experiments on our sequencing platform and will help develop and analyze microfluidic device surfaces, interfaces, and processes. System Engineer Responsibilities: * Accurately and consistently execute and record experimental method, materials, and results. * Become an expert on the operation of the High Throughput Sequencing Platform. * Design, implement, and analyze sequencing results of various microfluidic device process changes and various operating parameters. * Debug instrumentation, device, and software issues to create a robust platform. System Engineer Qualifications: * 1-5 years of applicable industry experience. * 2+ years of experience is preferred. * B.S. in bioengineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, statistics, or a related discipline with a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or surface/materials science. * Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record-keeping skills. * Excellent troubleshooting (experimental, instrument, device, software, reagents) and problem-solving skills, along with experimental design experience. * Experience with statistical data analysis using JMP or Python is preferred. * Python programming experience is preferred. * A background in or experience with DNA manipulation techniques, sequencing methodologies, or other wet laboratory instrumentation is preferred. #PP
