The Manufacturing Associate – SMT Staging, under general supervision, performs a wide variety of kit set-up activities including loading inventory on mechanical feeders and setup per pick and place program issue stencils and solder paste, label boards material put-away, measurement of components and cross trains in lateral positions as required. Uses a variety of tools including but not limited to computers, label makers, portable bar-code scanners, DVM (Digital Volt Meters).

Requirements

What you’ll do:

+ Be a willing contributor in all continuous improvement, training and other workplace programs

+ Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers

+ Provides clear communication using several sources; in person, over the phone, email, or in writing

+ Motivate team and create a positive team working environment.

+ Ensure benches, tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

+ Demonstrated self-management, problem-solving skills, and work accuracy with an attention to detail

+ Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements.

+ Demonstrated ability to interface with multiple levels of personnel throughout manufacturing required.

+ Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal.

+ Effectively manipulate extremely small and/or fragile components and tools.

+ Ability to use visual aids, complicated drawings to verify quality products.

+ Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner at all times

Education and/or Experience

+ High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

+ Ability to obtain J-STD and IPC certification within 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Three or more years of stockroom experience with electronic components preferred
