As a Bed Controller, you are the hub of hospital operations—coordinating patient placement, supporting care teams, and ensuring patients are in the right place at the right time. Your decisions directly impact patient safety, clinical efficiency, and the overall care experience.
The Bed Controller is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing patient bed placement and movement throughout the hospital to support safe, timely, and efficient patient flow. This role works collaboratively with nursing leadership, admissions, environmental services, case management, and clinical teams to ensure appropriate bed utilization while maintaining high standards of patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• No certification and/or licensure requirement.
• Two (2) years in admitting, business services, scheduling or administrative office experience, preferably in an acute care facility comparable to the Medical Center.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge and ability to operate a computer.
o Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
