    Quality Control Technician (Centennial, CO)

     

    Pay: $28-$32 per hour DOE

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality and reliability. This role involves inspecting, testing, and measuring materials, products, and production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. The Quality Technician will also document and report findings and work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field required.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control/assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with UL508A Industrial Control Panel Standard.

    + Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

    + Proficiency in using measuring instruments and testing equipment.

    + Good understanding of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Conduct regular inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.

    + Perform mechanical, physical, and electrical tests on materials and products.

    + Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product specifications are met.

    + Record and document inspection and test results accurately and promptly.

    + Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, highlighting any defects or deviations from standards.

    + Maintain UL MTR certification for UL508A, UL891, UL698 standards.

    + Maintain and update quality records and documentation as required by ISO or other regulatory standards.www.winn-marion.com

    + Ensure all products and processes comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

    + Assist in acquiring and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.

    + Participate in internal and external quality audits.

    + Identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

    + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality problems and implement improvements

    OTHER WORK FUNCTIONS:

    + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects.

    + Train and support production staff on quality control processes and use of quality equipment.

    + Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements.

    + Able to meet attendance standards and work the hours necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

    + Checks and responds to all company communications on all scheduled workdays, including voice mail, emails, and text messages.

    + Complies with all applicable Company safety requirements.

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    WORK CONDITIONS:

    + Working in a shop environment and must follow all safety, housekeeping, and organizational policies.

    + Able to sit and work at computer keyboard or workstation for extended period.

    + Able to stand for long periods and have significant physical stamina.

    + Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 25 pounds.

    + Able to climb stairs, work at heights.

    + Maintain regular and on-time attendance. Position is 40 hours per week but may exceed 40 hours per week.
