    Senior Tax Preparer

     

    We are a boutique tax office in Roseville that still believes in offering personalized customer service to our clients. Our ongoing success is predicated on happy and satisfied customers that return each tax season and recommend us to their family and friends.

     

    We are looking for a tax preparer for individual returns. Business and estate/fiduciary returns (Form 1120, 1065, 1120-S, 1041) experience is a plus. In addition, you will assist with researching and responding to IRS/FTB Notices on our clients’ behalf, as well as performing income tax withholding analyses, and working with our business clients on sales tax and 1099 compliance and preparation.

    Must Have Requirements

    + BA or BS from an accredited university or college, preferably in tax or accounting

    + You should have a minimum of three years of individual tax preparation, including recent income tax preparation experience (completed over 150 returns over the past three tax seasons)

    + Working knowledge of IRS and California income tax rules and regulations. Stay current with changes.

    + Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    + Ability to communicate effectively with peers and clients – via email, phone and formal letter.

    + Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Detail oriented and problem-solving skills.

    Ideal Requirements

    + Possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)

    + Some supervisory experience

    + Experience with QuickBooks Online

    + Additional responsibilities may be required.
