Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Conover, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about accounting processes and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage billing, accounts receivable, and cash applications to maintain efficient cash flow.

• Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Support month-end close processes, including preparing reports and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

• Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns.

• Oversee sales tax processes, including calculations and submissions.

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure all entries comply with company policies.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in corporate tax and sales tax processes.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with accounting software, such as Great Plains, is preferred.

• Effective communication and organizational skills to manage tasks and deadlines.
