Description
We are looking for a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in retail or merchandising environments and possess strong analytical skills to support month-end close activities. South End Charlotte location.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting workflows.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, specifically in month-end close and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.
• Expertise in account and bank reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in retail or merchandising sectors.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
