Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an opportunity to grow within the organization while contributing to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in managing accounts payable tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Process and approve invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

• Prepare and submit sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations.

• Handle credit card and check payment processing efficiently.

• Reconcile prepaid accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

• Support monthly and annual financial close processes.

• Verify and update vendor information in the accounting system. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Proficiency in performing three-way matching for invoices.

• Knowledge of sales tax regulations and experience in preparing returns.

• Familiarity with credit card and check payment processing.

• Ability to reconcile prepaid accounts and ensure financial accuracy.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Competency in using accounting software and tools.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
