Job Title: Repair Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an electrical Technician with extensive knowledge in electrical systems within the industrial sector, specifically working with 480V/220V industrial equipment. This role requires over 10 years of experience and an associated certification in handling such machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong preference for fieldwork and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Responsibilities
+ Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and job safety assessments, and support safety investigations.
+ Diagnose faults on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety relays, sensors, and control panels using schematics, ladder logic, and test instruments.
+ Install, commission, and repair production and facility equipment such as pumps, ovens/furnaces, CNCs, air compressors, HVAC, and scrubbers.
+ Replace and terminate motors, drives, contactors, sensors, and cabling up to 480V 3-phase.
+ Use structured problem-solving techniques to prevent recurrence and recommend design or component upgrades.
+ Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical/control systems; document findings and follow up on corrective actions.
+ Accurately record work, time, parts, and failure codes in the CMMS and keep electrical prints, panel schedules, and device lists current.
+ Identify critical spares, verify specifications, and coordinate with the storeroom to ensure cost tracking.
+ Coordinate with operators, engineers, vendors, and other technicians to plan repairs and minimize downtime.
+ Support unplanned events and critical operations, participate in on-call rotation and occasional off-shift/weekend work as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience with 480/220 V systems and industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair.
+ Ability to troubleshoot control, PLC, and electrical issues without needing to be a PLC programmer.
+ Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting.
+ Experience in the removal and installation of industrial equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, panel layouts, and ladder logic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or Associate’s in Electrical/Industrial Technology preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical maintenance with strong controls troubleshooting, or 3+ years with a technical degree/certification.
+ Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
+ Scissor Lift/Boom Lift certification.

Work Environment
Work the second shift from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. Overtime will be available during the workweek and on weekends, providing ample opportunity for additional earnings

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $42.00/hr.
