    Job Title: Structures Technician

    **Location:** Birmingham, AL

    **Pay:** $35.00 - $47.00 per hour

    Job Description

    Structures Technicians are responsible for performing heavy depot level structural maintenance, repairs, and modifications on T-38 aircraft, focusing on aircraft skin and bulkhead upgrades.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect and assess damage to aircraft structural components, formulating proper repair or replacement procedures using applicable technical data.

    + Remove and install close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major aircraft structural components.

    + Train in shop drawing and depot level metal layout techniques; shop mathematics; corrosion identification, removal, repair, and prevention; cleaning of metals; application of protective coatings and markings.

    + Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and manage the time change database.

    + Maintain strict tool control procedures, reporting missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor, and regularly inventorying and inspecting tools.

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Depot level/MRO Level structural repairs or modifications

    + Experience with airframe and aircraft sheet metal repairs.

    + Proficiency in aircraft maintenance and structural mechanics.

    + Expertise in sheet metal repair, fabrication, and aircraft modifications.

    + Ability to perform heavy depot level repairs or modifications.

    + Knowledge of skin repairs, skin patches, bulkheads, and depot level maintenance.

    + Experience with aircraft skin repair, corrosion control, MRO, bulkhead, stringer, and doubler.

    Work Environment

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.21 - $47.09/hr.
