    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables to ensure optimal network performance. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform fiber optic splicing and termination for both single-mode and multi-mode fibers.

    + Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to verify fiber integrity.

    + Read and interpret fiber schematics, splice diagrams, and construction prints.

    + Troubleshoot and repair damaged fiber cables and related components.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of splicing activities and test results.

    + Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry standards.

    + Collaborate with project managers and field teams to meet deadlines.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.

    + 1+ years of experience in fiber splicing or related telecommunications work.

    + Proficiency with fiber splicing equipment (fusion splicer, cleaver, etc.).

    + Knowledge of OTDR testing and fiber characterization.

    + Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    + Must pass BGC and drug test (includes THC)

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with aerial and underground fiber installation.

    + Familiarity with safety protocols for confined spaces and bucket trucks.

    + Certifications such as FOA CFOT or equivalent.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
