Position Summary
The **Radiology Technologist Assistant (PRN)** provides vital support to Imaging Technologists across diagnostic modalities. You’ll help prepare patients for exams, ensure their comfort and safety, and keep patient flow running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. (PRN/as‑needed scheduling; hours may vary based on department needs.)
**Pay:** $18.22 – $23.68 per hour, depending on experience.
**Location:** Riverton Hospital
Essential Functions
+ Accountable for safe, effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
+ Prepares patients for exams and remains attentive and sensitive to their needs throughout care.
+ Assists patients on/off procedure tables and to/from procedure rooms.
+ Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care and communicates pertinent information to care teams post‑procedure.
+ Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
+ Transports patients to/from Imaging, ensuring comfort and safety.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
+ Adheres to safety regulations and guidelines specific to various imaging modalities.
+ Basic computer skills; proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
+ Thrives in a fast‑paced setting; manages multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Strong attention to detail; follows instructions with accuracy.
+ Effective team contributor; maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
+ Able to prioritize tasks and problem‑solve.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma (or GED).
+ **Basic Life Support (BLS) for Caregivers** (required).

Physical Requirements
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
+ Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
+ May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
