Job Title: Die Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Die Maintenance Technician with at least 3 years of experience in handling various types of dies, including injection mold dies. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in die repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience with manual milling, lathe operations, TIG welding on tool steel, blueprint reading, and free-hand sketching is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance and repairs on dies, ensuring optimal operation and longevity.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
+ Utilize manual milling and lathe machinery for die maintenance tasks.
+ Execute TIG welding on tool steel as required for repairs.
+ Interpret blueprints and sketches to understand die specifications and modifications.
+ Collaborate with the team to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in Die Maintenance, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
+ Proficiency in TIG welding, specifically on tool steel.
+ Experience with manual machinery or casting processes.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform free-hand sketching.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a machine shop environment.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Work Environment
This role is primarily for the first shift, with occasional backfill for the third shift. The work environment includes a machine shop equipped with both CNC and manual machines, grinders, and other tools necessary for die maintenance and repair tasks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
