    Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician where you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment. Your role will involve both mechanical and electrical repairs, breaking down machinery for cleaning, and starting up the machinery. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components.

    + Break down and clean machinery.

    + Start up machinery post-maintenance.

    + Work 6-7 days a week, ensuring all equipment is functional and efficient.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance or 7+ years in manufacturing machine maintenance.

    + Strong electrical troubleshooting skills on 24-480V systems.

    + Experience with control voltage; 24V and 3 phase up to 480V.

    + Mechanical experience with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and gears.

    + Basic PLC knowledge.

    + Ability to work 10-12 hour days, 7 days a week.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field of maintenance.

    + Food/GMP experience is a significant plus.

    + Experience in welding and fabricating is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a food manufacturing plant with a refrigerated environment, requiring adherence to GMPs daily. Shifts include 1st shift (5am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2PM-12:30AM), and 3rd shift (10PM-7:30AM). Flexibility in working hours is essential, with training provided on the 1st shift for 1-2 weeks. The facility provides both basic and specialty tools, though you may bring your own basic tools if preferred.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
