Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description
Join a dynamic team that operates CNC machines using MasterCam software, working primarily with 3 and 4 axis Mills. Our operations include a diverse mix of commercial and defense contracts with well-established clients, contributing to our robust annual growth of 20-40%. The role will focus on sheet metal machining, which constitutes 95% of our operations.
Responsibilities
+ Operate 3, 4 axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills.
+ Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
+ Use micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gage.
+ Perform basic math, geometry, and trigonometry calculations.
+ Set up machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
+ Follow verbal machine operation instructions from department lead, assess drawings & manufacturing planning for machining requirements, carefully load parts into machines, operate machine’s control panel, unload parts, deburr parts, and arrange parts in boxes or on pallets, sometimes running two machines at once.
+ Monitor features & dimensions on each component run and deburr finished parts.
+ Support supervisors in the running of production parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
+ Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, tool setups, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
+ Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
+ Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of productions.
+ Report all machine malfunctions to Lead.
+ Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
+ Adhere and comply with state and federal law, Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ Experience operating CNC machines, specifically with 3 and 4 axis Mills.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
+ Familiarity with GD&T.
+ Ability to use micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and height gage.
+ Knowledge of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
+ Experience setting up machines with pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with sheet metal machining.
+ Familiarity with CNC programming, Haas, and Fanuc controls.
+ Ability to follow verbal instructions and assess drawings for machining requirements.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing plant operation and professional office environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers are used. The manufacturing environment involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, excessive heat, cold, wet conditions, bright light, and slippery surfaces. The noise level can be very loud, and ear protection is provided. The role offers a day shift from 4 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, or a swing shift from 1:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, following a 4/10 schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
