    Structural Designer

    About the Role

    We’re looking for a talented Structural Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork and technical design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute to a wide range of structural engineering projects. You’ll conduct site walkthroughs, perform structural analysis, prepare detailed drawings, and support construction-phase activities while maintaining strong communication with clients and project partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct site walkthroughs and field assessments to document existing conditions.

    + Perform structural analysis and design for custom single‑family homes, structural repairs, renovations, new construction, and specialty engineering for steel fabricators.

    + Produce detailed structural drawings and documentation using AutoCAD.

    + Conduct inspections and phase observations during construction to verify compliance with design intent.

    + Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and contractors to support successful project delivery.

    Essential Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.

    + 1–4 years of experience in structural engineering.

    + Strong understanding of structural systems including steel, cold‑formed steel, engineered and commodity lumber, masonry, aluminum, concrete foundations, and retaining walls.

    + Experience performing structural analysis and conducting pre‑ and post‑construction site visits.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + EIT certification.

    + Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.

    + Experience with structural software such as RISA 3D or RAM.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
