    Description

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Gilbert, AZ. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting functions, month-end close, and financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and organizational skills. Proficiency with Sage software is required, and candidates must be able to pass a background check.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

    + Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations

    + Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data

    + Support accounts payable and receivable functions

    + Prepare financial statements and management reports

    + Assist with budget preparation, audit support, and other accounting projects as assigned

    + Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements

    + Maintain organized digital and paper-based filing systems

    Requirements

    Software Requirements:

    + Proficiency with Sage accounting software is required

    + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

    + 1+ year of professional accounting experience

    + Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

    + Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team

    Additional Requirements:

    + Temp-to-hire position; must be able to work onsite in the Gilbert area

    + Candidate must be able to pass a background check prior to hire
