Description
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Jensen Infrastructure is hiring a **Drycast Plant Manager** to lead manufacturing operations for precast concrete products, including oversight of production, yard operations, and shipping and receiving activities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality plant operations while leading and developing a strong production team.
You’ll serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, coordinating daily production activities, ensuring workforce readiness, and reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in environments where safety, quality, and execution are critical to success.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Plant Operations & Production
• Leading daily production activities, coordinating schedules and labor to meet customer demand while ensuring quality standards are consistently met
• Overseeing yard operations, including loading, receiving, and shipping of finished products
• Monitoring production performance to ensure work orders are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Leadership & Workforce Development
• Training, developing, and motivating plant employees on manufacturing processes, equipment usage, safety expectations, quality standards, and productivity goals
• Ensuring employees operating equipment (cranes, forklifts, cutters, etc.) are properly trained and certified
• Partnering with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing employee development
Safety & Continuous Improvement
• Championing plant safety by ensuring compliance with safety programs, procedures, and best practices
• Partnering with the Corporate EHS Director to implement corporate safety initiatives and conduct safety meetings
• Leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with progressively increasing supervisory and management responsibility
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing production teams in a manufacturing setting
• Strong background in plant safety with the ability to identify, diagnose, and address operational and people-safety risks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead high-performing teams
• Experience driving operational discipline, quality, and continuous improvement
• Exposure to lean manufacturing principles, ERP systems, and industry certifications (such as ACI or APICS CPIM) that support operational excellence, with the ability to obtain additional certifications as needed
