• Architectural Metal Fabrication Drafter

    ### Job Duties

    Hours: M-Th 7 am - 4:30 pm & Fri 7 am - 11 am

    Responsibilities

    Develop accurate part and fabrication drawings, including flat layouts.

     

    Maintain shop deadlines for creating drawings.

     

    Use 3D models to generate shop-ready part drawings.

     

    Occasionally assist with customer submittal drawings.

     

    Interpret and scale drawings from customer specifications and architectural design documents.

    What You Bring

    Minimum 5 years of experience in custom architectural metal fabrication (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) preferred. This is NOT a basic fabrication shop.

     

    Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and SolidWorks; BlueBeam experience is a plus.

     

    Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documentation. There are times when you will be asked to create solutions for our customers.

     

    Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, and follow-through. Ability to communicate with customers for problem solving and gathering of missing information. Team mentality—you must be willing to work effectively and communicate well with our Project Management team and our Quality Control team.

     

    A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn and improve.

    Combination of office and industrial shop setting.

     

    Individual cubicle workstation with dual-monitor setup.

     

    Regular exposure to shop floor activity including machinery and moderate noise levels.

     

    Hands-on, team-focused atmosphere where drafters are encouraged to review real-time production work.
