The mission of the Idaho Department of Labor is to support individuals through career transitions, determine benefit eligibility, connect employers with works and oversee tax and labor law compliance.
The Idaho Human Rights Commission is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented candidate for a full-time Administrative Assistant 2 position at its Boise offices. This position provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Commission Administrator, Commissioners, and agency staff. The Administrative Assistant 2 plays a key role in case processing, database management, internal accounting, and coordination with external agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The position works under the supervision of the Commission Administrator.

Job Responsibilities:
Filing and processing of complaints:
+ Prepare and distribute meeting documents for Commissioners.
+ Coordinates travel arrangements and reimbursements for staff.
+ Coordinates conference registrations and payment for staff and commissioners as needed.
+ Maintains EEOC ARC Database; Research and compile data; generate and provide system reports.
+ Completes and tracks P-Card transactions, purchase order and supply requests including payment processing.
+ Ensures that commissioners are reimbursed for panel and commission meetings.
+ Composes and edits a variety of sensitive, confidential official business documents.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of:
+ Office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and reception. Typically gained by at least one (1) year of experience in an office support role in which the following were regular assigned duties: word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and reception; OR through an Associate's degree in Administrative Services or related field.
+ Researching, compiling, and summarizing data for reports. Typically gained by one year of experience researching, compiling and summarizing data for reports OR gained by an Associates degree in Administrative Services.
Experience:
+ Interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services. Typically gained by at least one (1) year of work experience reviewing documents or actions for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies AND explaining to others how laws, regulations or policies apply to specific situations as a regular part of your job duties.
+ Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting. Typically gained by at least one (1) year of work experience requiring problem-solving skills and working as a liaison while dealing with individuals, multi-agencies, and groups to resolve conflicts, such as supervision, lead work, team facilitation, agency liaison, or providing high-level customer service.
+ Coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements. Typically gained by at least six (6) months of experience at professional level where you were responsible for coordinating and arranging multiple complex activities such as travel, registration, accommodation negotiations, coordinating volunteers, audiovisual support, planning meals, and designing forms.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Composing official correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.
+ Providing administrative support to an administrator, or senior staff member.
+ Experience maintaining strict confidentiality of non-public information.
+ Experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
