Summary
The Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting Services is a leader responsible for the select accounting operations, reporting, and compliance functions. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supports executive decision-making, and aligns accounting practices with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. This role leads multiple professional staff that execute general ledger activities, SAP Controlling (CO)/ cost accounting, accounts receivable, master data, unclaimed property, financial close processes, budgeting, federal award compliance, and internal controls oversight.
What You'll Do
+ Manage general accounting functions, including cost allocations, miscellaneous receivables, unclaimed property, master data, subsidiary and affiliate accounting and reporting, and internal controls compliance.
+ Lead and manage a team of professionals, including hiring, goal setting, performance management, coaching/development, team building, and training.
+ Oversee the monthly and annual accounting close, as well as maintenance of accounting ledgers, including monthly review of account reconciliations and journal entries.
+ Prepare subsidiary and affiliate financial statements, prepare board materials and conduct board presentations.
+ Lead federal grant award 2CFR200 compliance and process improvement initiatives.
+ Supervise and approve the corporate and functional cost allocations.
+ Monitor internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) design and operating effectiveness.
+ Maintain segregation of duties (SOD) compliance via the SAP GRC module.
+ Ensure financial information is reliable and available to various areas of the company.
+ Establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures throughout the organization.
+ Participate in SAP/ accounting system implementations and initiatives.
+ Support internal customers (including upper management) to facilitate understanding and interpretation of financial data to assist in business decisions and bond offerings.
+ Work with external auditors to ensure successful and timely financial statement audits.
+ Collaborate with internal auditors to support SRP corporate audit projects and initiatives.
+ Execute special projects and assignments as requested by management.

Education
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is required.
Experience
+ Minimum 8 years of relevant experience required.
+ 2 or more years of accounting management experience is preferred.
+ Large ERP experience preferred (SAP)
+ Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience is preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
+ Knowledge of utility accounting is preferred.
+ Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred.
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
