Position Overview:
Our internship program is designed for students enrolled in an accredited university or college who are interested in developing on-the-job skills, experiences and insights that last a lifetime. Over the course of 10 weeks, you will have opportunities to learn about several areas of our business, network and collaborate with Ball leaders, and get involved in challenging project work.
Procurement interns will gain knowledge in multiple areas procurement of the organization while working on various projects throughout the summer.
What Youll Do:
+ Assist the Industrial Services & Supplies (ISS) team on strategic procurement activities and contribute to value creation through completing Request For Proposal (RFP)s and supporting bidding events.
+ Active involvement on multiple supplier negotiations, cost-savings initiatives, supplier fact-finding discussions, RFP event creation & participation, competitive quote(s) analysis, and supplier performance activities.
+ Assist with multiple categories of indirect & potentially direct Ball spend, internal customer requirements research, industry analysis for specific category spend being negotiated and Procurement operations & compliance.
+ Create a standard process that the broader team could use to procure the complex system integrator, general contractor or architect.
+ Communicate changes with cross functional partners such engineering, finance, operations.
+ Collaborate with other interns and team members on projects that contribute to the overall Procurement and Beverage Packaging North & Central America strategies.
+ Participate and report out/present on projects/other work assignments as needed.
+ Attend professional development activities, including a professional development week at our corporate headquarters in Colorado.
What We Are Seeking:
+ Current students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Manufacturing, Data, project management or a related discipline at an accredited 4-year college or university.
+ Must have completed at least one year of coursework with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
+ Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Job-related activities such as: data analysis, process improvement projects, blueprint reading, cost-modeling, technical documentation skills, Lean Manufacturing knowledge usually acquired through college courses or work-related experience.
+ Demonstrated skills:
+ Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) with a preference of advanced skills in Excel.
+ Analyzing and interpreting data with a strong attention to detail.
+ Communication & Interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) and work across teams and with all levels of personnel.
+ Lean Manufacturing technical knowledge.

Compensation & Benefits
+ **$24-$26/hour**
+ May be eligible for additional housing benefits
