Fully Remote - EST or CST | $16.00 to $18.00 an hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading utility provider to hire an **Operations Support** professional who thrives on problem-solving, customer interaction, and operational accuracy. In this role, you’ll help ensure new customers receive timely access to critical **water and wastewater services** , while supporting the systems and processes that keep communities running every day.
Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, billing accuracy, and the seamless delivery of essential services.
Your Impact
As an Operations Support team member, you’ll serve as a key link between customer service, technical teams, and external partners—researching inquiries, resolving data issues, and ensuring new service requests move forward efficiently and accurately.
What You’ll Do
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
+ Managing **new service inquiries** received from the Customer Service organization through notifications, emails, and Business Process Exception (BPE) cases
+ Researching and analyzing customer requests to determine the **ability to provide water and wastewater services** to new customers
+ Communicating with **internal and external business partners** via phone and email regarding service availability and application status
+ Analyzing **BPEMS (Business Process Exception Management System) cases** resulting from meter readings or technical master data errors
+ Performing root cause analysis to resolve issues that could lead to **estimated bills, account setup errors, or billing delays**
+ Ensuring timely and accurate resolution of cases to support operational efficiency
+ Documenting findings and updates in company systems to maintain clear and accurate records
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
+ Minimum of **2 years of customer service experience** , including outbound phone calls
+ Strong **communication skills** , both verbal and written
+ Ability to perform **root cause analysis** and detailed account research
+ Solid **math skills** for calculations and analysis
+ Computer proficiency, including **Microsoft Office applications**
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior experience working in a **utility or operations environment**
+ **SAP experience** or familiarity with enterprise systems
+ Experience handling exception cases or technical data issues
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

**Pay Details:** $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
