    The Opportunity:

    Are you passionate about technical design, illustration, and configuration management? CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Illustrator/Drafter and Windchill configuration manager to join our team supporting the Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation Division at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. You'll be a key player in developing and managing complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models while serving as the subject matter expert for the division’s Windchill environment. If you enjoy creating precise technical documentation, maintaining design standards, and ensuring configuration control of engineering data, this role offers a unique opportunity to support important defense programs while advancing your career in engineering design and data management.

    Responsibilities:

    + Serve as the Windchill Administrator for the group, managing products, libraries, and configuration control processes.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for Windchill configuration management, ensuring proper data structure and lifecycle management.

    + Advise team members on Windchill environment operations, best practices, and troubleshooting technical issues.

    + Create and modify 3D CAD models using Creo and AutoCAD to visualize and document engineering designs.

    + Develop and review engineering drawings using Creo and AutoCAD software to support program requirements and design activities.

    + Develop, maintain, and update Creo templates and format files to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational and customer standards.

    + Ensure all engineering drawings and CAD models are properly stored, versioned, and managed within the Windchill environment.

    + Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to understand requirements and deliver accurate technical documentation.

    + Support configuration management activities including change control, baseline management, and release processes.

     

    Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality procedures.

    Qualifications:

    _Required:_

    + U.S. Citizenship

    + Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

    + Minimum of 10 years' experience in drafting, CAD design, or related technical illustration role.

    + High level of knowledge and experience with Windchill PLM/PDM system administration and configuration management.

    + Advanced experience with AutoCAD and Creo software for both 2D drawings and 3D modeling.

    + Working knowledge of engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5, GD&T principles).

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Effective communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    _Desired:_

    + Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field.

    + CAD related professional certifications.

    + Familiarity with military standards and specifications.

    + Experience supporting configuration control boards and engineering change processes.

    + Background in mechanical or systems design

    Pay Range:

    This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.​

    Minimum Req** **uired Hourly Wage:

    $44.66
