Description:
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a full-time, Phlebotomist to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators located at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. Help us create a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.
You would be responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy, specimen processing and other lab assistance, as needed. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.
What You Will Do:
+ **Exceptional Patient Care** : Contributes to overall quality of care for the patient through accurate, skilled phlebotomy draws, specimen processing, and excellent customer service.
+ **Excellent Communicator** : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with administrators, colleagues, patients, and healthcare providers.
+ **Strong Contributor:** Provide assistance as needed throughout the Lab.
+ **Technical Familiarity:** Understanding in the operation/maintenance of Lab equipment, computer-based applications (email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office).
+ **Active Teamwork** : Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork. Willing to assist where needed.
**Requirements** :
+ **Education:** High school diploma.
+ **Certification:** Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification or obtain within 6 months..
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting required.
Work Hours/Shift:
• Full-time, 40 hours, Rotating Shifts, weekend and holiday rotation
