Senior Data Engineer

Description

Seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to build scalable cloud migration solutions for a leading Fortune 500 facilities services company. The Senior Data Engineer will develop and implement a migration solution from SQL Server to Snowflake through an Azure environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, reliability, and automation of the process.

Responsibilities

+ Development of SSIS packages supporting full and incremental loads.

+ Configure ODBC connections for SQL Server and Snowflake.

+ Implement error handling, logging, and retry logic.

+ Schedule and automate package execution via SQL Server Agent.

+ Perform automated and manual data validation.

+ Document logic and contribute to architecture diagrams and flow charts.

Required Qualifications

+ 7+ years of experience in ETL development.

+ Strong SQL Server knowledge, including legacy versions.

+ Strong SSIS development experience.

+ Experience with Snowflake and ODBC connectivity.

+ Experience and familiarity with Azure environments.

+ Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with large-scale data migration projects.

+ Knowledge of incremental load strategies.

+ Certifications:

+ Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification

+ Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate

+ Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals
