Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced North America (NA) **Regional Demand Planner** to drive the implementation and execution of supply chain and manufacturing operating plans across a diverse portfolio of products. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between capacity planning, inventory strategy, and end-to-end supply chain operations—from order acknowledgement through shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Support NA regional production planning/master scheduling activities, including order management, dating, resource planning, delivery promising, and production forecasting and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan.

+ Coordinating plans and executing across NA regional cable plants

+ Generate and maintain monthly capacity plans and weekly supply plans for manufacturing and supply chain operations.

+ Optimize NA region finished goods, WIP, OOF, and fiber inventory.

+ Support new-system implementation projects and initiatives within supply chain.

+ Work closely with plant supply chain and operations to establish short- term and long-term expectations and execution of the production plan.

Education/Experience Required:

+ Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain or relevant experience

+ Bachelor’s degree required or considerable experience

+ Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team and to achieve long term goals

+ Computer Literate in MS Office, especially Excel

Desired Skills:

+ Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Industrial Engineering

+ Fiber and cable product knowledge

+ Understand aspects of inventory management

+ Strong SAP/ERP/MES knowledge and experience

+ Direct manufacturing experience

+ APICS/ASCM Certification

The range for this position is $71,930.00 - $98,904.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
