• Night Shift Production Supervisor

    Carmeuse Americas (Drummond Island, MI)


    + Provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with regulatory agencies are observed by employees, site safety goals, and administer safety initiatives

    + Interface with regulatory agencies as required

    + Ensure quality of product during process

    + Provide technical and tactical support to the hourly employees

    + Ensure the execution of the daily production plan

    + Uses the production modules under the SAP system

    + Ensure operations personnel perform quality work

    + Participate in a daily meeting with production team

    + Oversee necessary arrangements to keep plant running during breakdowns

    + Provide feedback

    + The Production Supervisor will supervise hourly personnel. The Production Manager has responsibility for overall operations management to achieve goals.

    Basic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)

    + 2+ years supervisor experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment; previous experience as department supervisor for larger facilities would also be a fit; industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc. preferred

    + Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions

    + Demonstrable success in cultural 'turn around' a plus

    + Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills

    + Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic
