Job Title: Warehouse Worker** **Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for packaging bundles by securely placing metal strapping around the width and length of materials. You will also ensure the proper placement of paper corner protectors to safeguard the customer's materials and use packaging equipment to tighten the metal strapping around the bundles. Additionally, you will be required to check parts to ensure the correct size was produced and utilize material handling equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.

Responsibilities

+ Package bundles by placing metal strapping around the width and length of materials.

+ Properly place paper corner protectors to protect customers' materials.

+ Use packaging equipment to tighten metal strapping around bundles.

+ Check parts to ensure correct size is produced.

+ Skillfully operate material handling equipment including cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.

+ Read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals.

+ Use tape measure, caliper, gauges, or micrometer.

Essential Skills

+ General labor experience.

+ Material handling skills.

+ Ability to read measurements.

+ Experience with forklift operation.

+ Proficiency in packaging tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Operation of forklifts, tow motor, and overhead crane.

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Safety-oriented mindset.

+ Ability to use tape measure, gauges, and micrometers.

Work Environment

The base pay rate is $18.50 with a $1 shift differential for third-shift employees. The 3rd shift operates from 9pm-7am, Monday-Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. There is mandatory overtime on the 3rd Friday of each month from 9pm-5am. Candidates should be comfortable working on the 3rd shift for at least six months, with the possibility to move to the first shift based on openings. The work environment is very clean and organized, featuring large equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
