Aerotek is hiring for a Commercial Solar Electrician with WEEKLY pay!
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced **Solar Electrician** to support commercial‑scale solar installations with a strong focus on electrical system assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning. This role centers on rooftop solar projects—primarily on flat roofs—where you will ensure safe, high‑quality electrical installation of solar equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Install, wire, and terminate electrical components for commercial solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, conduit, and grounding.
+ Perform electrical work on flat‑roof solar arrays, including installations on water tanks equipped with a 42” perimeter handrail.
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑lines, and construction drawings.
+ Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and verification of system performance.
+ Work collaboratively with installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience as a solar electrician or commercial electrician working on solar PV systems.
+ Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices.
+ Ability to work safely and effectively on rooftop installations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior commercial solar experience is highly preferred.
+ Comfortable working at heights on flat roofs and in outdoor environments.
+ Familiarity with conduit bending, wire management, and electrical testing equipment.

Work Environment
This position involves outdoor work and is dependent on weather conditions. The schedule runs **Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM** , with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.

This is a Contract position based out of Bergenfield, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
