    Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Light Industrial Assembler to join our innovative team. You will play a crucial role in assembling, testing, and inspecting sub-assemblies and finished products, ensuring they meet established quality and operational standards. Your contributions will help us meet production schedules and drive continuous improvement in our processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble, test, and inspect sub-assemblies and finished products according to quality, operation standards, and process instructions.

    + Follow manufacturing process instructions and test documentation to meet all quality and technical design requirements.

    + Monitor and report any quality issues and work with the troubleshooting team to develop solutions.

    + Maintain current certifications for the use of special tools, equipment, or processes.

    + Collaborate with design engineering on technical requirements and implement engineering changes and new products with technical team, production control, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.

    + Promote continuous improvement and collaborate to enhance processes.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electro-mechanical assembly.

    + Experience assembling and troubleshooting UAS drones, vehicles, or aircrafts is highly preferred.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and make informed decisions.

    + Organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

    + Exposure to ISO9001-2015 / AS9100 quality environments.

    + Familiarity with lean principles and methodologies such as 5S, problem solving, Kanban, waste reduction.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint).

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-first attitude.

    + Attention to detail when working with small parts, assemblies, and fasteners.

    + Demonstrated reliability, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.

    + Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, as well as push, pull, and maneuver carts and packages.

    + Manual dexterity is necessary for handling tasks.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily in a professional, climate-controlled office, warehouse, manufacturing, and shipping environment. At times, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, goggles, and hearing protection may be required. You may also work in environments exposed to the elements, including heat, rain, and cold. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
