    Job Description

    As a Production Lead, you will oversee the production assembly area, setting up production schedules each morning, monitoring and tracking production efficiency, and creating reports. You will report directly to the supervisor, communicate any concerns, and hold employees accountable on the production line. You will also perform the tasks of an electronic assembler, which includes assembling, testing, and modifying custom electronic parts, systems, and assemblies. This role requires reading and interpreting instructions, using a variety of parts and tools, and fitting electronic components together. Some tasks may involve fitting or soldering parts together, and using adhesives and epoxies. Soldering work is sometimes performed under a magnifying light or microscope, with both Thru Hole and some SMT soldering of PCB Components required.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the production assembly area.

    + Set up production schedules each morning.

    + Monitor and track production efficiency.

    + Create and submit production reports.

    + Communicate concerns and hold employees accountable.

    + Perform tasks of an electronic assembler.

    + Assemble, test, and modify custom electronic parts and systems.

    + Read and interpret assembly instructions.

    + Use a variety of parts and tools for assembly.

    + Fit electronic components together, including soldering and using adhesives.

    + Perform soldering under a magnifying light or microscope.

    Essential Skills

    + 6+ months of experience in a lead, supervisor, or coordinator role, preferably in production or electronics.

    + 1+ year of experience in electronic assembly.

    + 1+ year of experience in Thru Hole or SMT soldering on PC Boards.

    + IPC 6-10 soldering certification.

    + Ability to use small hand tools and operate machinery.

    + Proficiency in reading a ruler and performing basic computer tasks.

    Work Environment

     

    The work is performed in a climate-controlled environment where you can either sit on a taller stool or stand to perform assembly tasks. The facility is very clean, organized, and quiet, with about 15-20 people working in the shop. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stacy, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
