    Job Title: Grounds Crew

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated employee to handle daily tasks such as vacuuming water from storm drains and cleaning out industrial tanks using vacuum trucks. These trucks are semis with 2500-gallon tanks and function similarly to a shop vac. The role involves operating vacuum trucks, performing daily inspections of fluids, belts, and hoses, and transporting the truck to job locations. The operator will set up and monitor hoses from the truck to the cleaning site, and manage the breakdown and storage of equipment upon job completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct daily inspections of truck fluids, belts, and hoses.

    + Drive the vacuum truck to and from job sites.

    + Set up and monitor vacuum hoses during cleaning operations.

    + Break down and store hoses and equipment after job completion.

    + Operate trolling motor to vacuum waste from tanks.

    + Perform additional duties such as sweeping and cleaning spills.

    + Lift up to 50 pounds as part of routine tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 1 year of consistent general labor work history.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Comfortable working at heights up to 100 feet on fully guarded platforms.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must have steel toe boots.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dynamic environment that is not climate-controlled, with exposure to outdoor conditions about 20% of the time. Expect hot summers and cold winters. The position is on the first shift, with 4-day work weeks and 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blair, NE.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr.
