    Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will work on bag making lines, handling a variety of tasks to ensure efficient production. You will be involved in loading machinery with spools of paper, prepping rolls, setting up print plates, and running the machine. Your role will also include verifying orders, troubleshooting, and packaging final products.

    Responsibilities

    + Load machinery with spools of paper and prep rolls.

    + Gather and set up print plates.

    + Measure hot melt and gather necessary materials.

    + Set up machines based on specific orders and verify them.

    + Run the machine, unclog jams, and perform minor troubleshooting.

    + Adjust machinery settings, set up, and change over machines.

    + Check products for defects and errors.

    + Package orders, wrap final products, and verify orders and pallets.

    Essential Skills

    + Manufacturing experience.

    + Machine operating or assistant experience.

    + Experience with setups or changeovers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with paper, corrugated, packaging, bags, or cartons is a plus.

    + Working on or around FFG or die-cutting lines is advantageous.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Work Environment

    The facility is well-maintained, clean, and organized with multiple production lines. The environment is cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer, and involves constant standing, walking, and handling of weights up to 49 lbs. Working hours are 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with openings available during both day and night shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.21/hr.
