Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in tax preparation and compliance, including individual, corporate, and sales tax filings. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Manage sales and use tax filings, including accurate reporting and timely submissions.
• Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure efficient tax strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation and audits.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance and identify updates.
• Provide guidance and support on tax-related matters to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all tax-related activities and filings.
• Assist with resolving tax discrepancies and managing correspondence with tax authorities.
• Ensure all deadlines for tax filings and payments are consistently met.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Extensive experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial data and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Ability to stay updated on evolving tax laws and regulations.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and clients.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tax-related tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
