Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will contribute to transforming existing internal tools into scalable SaaS solutions for the financial publishing industry. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on high-impact systems with real production traffic and aggressive timelines. This is a Contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Transform internal tools into SaaS products designed for external use.

• Develop and optimize tokenization and redirect services for high-throughput and low-latency operations.

• Refactor legacy systems into modern Node.js services and Dockerized workflows.

• Build and maintain multi-tenant architectures, ensuring client isolation and environment segmentation.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, and clarity for end-users.

• Collaborate with architects to design scalable, microservice-based infrastructures.

• Implement solutions capable of handling high traffic volumes and database transactions.

• Manage asynchronous processing, including queues and logging for burst traffic.

• Ensure system resilience against unexpected user behavior and traffic spikes.

• Work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on pragmatic and scalable solutions. Requirements • Extensive experience in building and maintaining production systems at scale.

• Strong backend development expertise, particularly in Node.js and Docker.

• Proven ability to refactor and modernize legacy systems.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and autoscaling technologies.

• Experience designing systems to handle high traffic volumes and large-scale database transactions.

• Comfortable working in a collaborative, senior-heavy team environment.

• Ability to deliver solutions that prioritize performance, scalability, and security.

• Proficiency in C#, .NET, React.js, JavaScript, and ASP.NET as part of the technology stack. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
