What You’ll Do
As a first-shift Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team to ensure top-notch production and efficient operations. Specifically, you’ll:
+ Build and develop an engaged, high-performing team by setting expectations, mentoring, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
+ Drive success through active workforce management, including recruiting, training, and fostering personal growth opportunities for employees.
+ Supervise daily production operations by organizing workflows, assigning tasks, and setting priorities to meet production goals.
+ Monitor and improve workflows by observing processes, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations.
+ Create a culture of excellence and accountability by tracking team performance, providing feedback, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
+ Ensure quality at every step – from overseeing production standards to maintaining compliance with company protocols and requirements.
+ Troubleshoot and correct machinery or process issues by working closely with maintenance and operations teams when malfunctions arise.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment by promoting workplace safety education and practices, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety standards.
+ Compile, analyze, and report operational data to drive informed decisions that improve productivity and efficiency.
What You’ll Have
We’re seeking an inspiring leader with:
+ 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
+ A track record of driving process improvements in fast-paced environments.
+ Strong skills in workforce management, process planning, performance management, and operations monitoring.
+ Knowledge of budget tracking, quality control processes, and performance metrics within a production environment.
+ Exceptional ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration to achieve shared goals.
+ A college or technical degree to strengthen your operational and leadership foundation preferred.

Position Requirements
Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:
Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Tracking Budget Expenses, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Manufacturing environment experience desired.
Education and Experience
College degree preferred
2-4 years supervisory experience in manufacturing setting
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage subordinates supervisory and non-supervisory employees in the assigned Production Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving programs.

Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands *
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects.
