Job Profile: Cardiovascular Rad Technologist

STATUS: Fulltime LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital DEPARTMENT: Cath Lab SCHEDULE: M-F; Rotating shifts: 7 am - 3:30 pm, 7:30 am - 4 pm, and 10:30 am - 7 pm.

On call: one weekend per month, one day per week, up to 3 holidays per year

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000

SUMMARY As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Tech, you assist radiologists with radiographic procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Patient Care. Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service

+ General Maintenance. Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis

+ Documentation. Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

+ NYS license in Radiologic Technology

+ ARRT (R)

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Two-year college certificate or equivalent

+ Strong computer, customer service, and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
