Safety
* Make sure all safety procedures are followed
* Hold employees accountable for working within the rules and proactively identifying and removing hazards
* Reports all near misses, incidents, first aid rendered, or unsafe working conditions to the Plant Manager and Safety Manager immediately without exception
* Administers and models safety in his/her area of responsibility
* Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA and plant safety standards
* Responsible for the safety and well-being of self and employees.
* General
* Maintain good attendance.
* Display willingness to work overtime as needed, significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
* Must possess basic computer skills.
* Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
* Complete the company forklift training program, have a valid Texas driver license.
* Performs daily forklift inspection using the maintenance checklist before starting shift and/or using forklift.
* Make sure the cutting and finishing machines have the correct product to run efficiently.
* Remove the finished product from the cutters and have it wrapped for locating in the warehouse or, if needed, taken right to the finishing department.
* Ensure that all WIP is properly located in the warehouse for safety and efficiency purposes.
* When the auto stretch wrapper is backed up, ensure additional pallets are stretched wrapped.
* Working with scheduling to keep WIP for the next 3 to 5 days and stage unnecessary items to go back to offsite warehouse.
* Work with all departments as a team.
* Housekeeping
* Maintains housekeeping where applicable in the warehouse.
* Maintain cleanliness of the equipment in their assigned area.
* Fill in for Clamp truck drivers as needed.
* Make sure any spilled pallets, WIP, Finished Goods, or Corrugated, are picked up and if any food grade products have touched the floor are disposed of.
* Quality
* All GMP\u2019s are being followed.
* Inspect warehouse for insects, rodent excreta, and any other contaminates.
* Inspect warehouse walls, ceilings, and doors for holes or other damage.
* Responsible for product safety and product quality, and reports product safety and product quality problems to Senior Management or Quality Manager.
