Job Title: Procurement & Commercial Grade Dedication Engineer (Nuclear)
Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop & Execute Plans: Create, author, and implement Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and Equipment Qualification (EQ) plans in accordance with nuclear industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
+ Support Safety-Related Procurements: Ensure that all materials, equipment, and services meet stringent technical and quality requirements to uphold safety standards. (QL1)
+ Lead Procurement Engineering Activities: Drive sourcing, technical evaluations, vendor qualifications, and effectively coordinate with suppliers and testing facilities to optimize procurement processes.
+ Design & Implement Test Setups: Fabricate and develop testing configurations that satisfy CGD, EQ, seismic, and environmental testing criteria.
+ Conduct Specialized Testing: Develop test plans and execute specialized testing operations, including seismic testing utilizing advanced triaxial seismic testing equipment.
+ Perform Failure Analysis: Troubleshoot and execute repair activities on electronic instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, as relevant.
+ Oversee Inspections & Testing: Coordinate and manage special inspections and off-site testing conducted by third-party organizations, ensuring thorough verification and compliance.
+ Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and approve procurement and testing-related documentation, ensuring compliance with NRC, DOE, NQA-1, EPRI, and internal quality program standards, while maintaining complete traceability and technical rigor.
+ Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to guarantee technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient operational execution.
+ Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Support efforts focused on reverse engineering, workflow optimization, and ongoing process enhancements.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ Educational Background: Associate’s degree in Engineering or Science, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent relevant experience).
+ Industry Experience: Experience in nuclear, facility, quality, or industrial engineering environments.
+ Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, technical specifications, and operating manuals.
+ Writing Proficiency: Exceptional technical writing skills, capable of developing test plans, procedures, and comprehensive inspection or test reports.
+ Software Competency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
+ Communication Skills: Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration capabilities.
Preferred:
+ Experience Level: Five or more years in the nuclear industry or working with nuclear suppliers.
+ Hands-On Expertise: Knowledge and hands-on experience with Commercial Grade Dedication (EPRI NP-5652) and Equipment Qualification processes.
+ Regulatory Familiarity: Understanding of NRC, DOE, and NQA-1 regulatory and quality requirements.
+ Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic or electrical systems, particularly I&C components.
+ Testing Equipment Experience: Proficient in using test and inspection equipment such as DMMs, Hi-Pot testers, oscilloscopes, function generators, and other precision measurement tools; experience with OES, XRF, FTIR, or similar analytical equipment is a plus.
