    Position Overview

    This position will oversee the functions of the Imports Department to include CTPAT, Social Compliance, Product Testing, Classification and US Custom clearances. This individual will ensure the adherence to all company and government regulations around customs, FDA, CPSC, APHIS, C-TPAT, and similar. The Import Manager will also develop and implement import training materials and ensure their team is cross trained in all functions and aspects of the department. In addition; this person must provide solid leadership, coaching, direction, and must motivate the team to work together in the most efficient manner.

     

    A Day In The Life

    + Maintains an accurate understanding of all regulatory and manages the appropriate compliance of all Burlington direct import purchases to internal and governmental expectations, including, but not limited to , required and/or expected documentation.

    + Develop improved processes and disclose system improvement opportunities. Schedule compliance training and maintain training materials and records.

    + Ensure organizational (including Broker) compliance with Federal and State regulatory agencies with may include, but not limited to Custom’s Audits, CTPAT annual renewals and ISA annual validation.

    + Intercede with broker and US Customs as necessary to ensure compliance and expedite entry release as well as perform post entry audit, communicate findings with upper management for applicable action, and maintain audit files and records

    + Maintain files, reports or metrics as required by company procedures and government regulations ( soft copies) perform quarterly audits of all files and report findings to upper management.

    + Generate a quarterly/yearly Import analysis report (based on Import Excel data); generate a KPI report for the Customs Broker, vendor, factories and Import Specialists.

    You'll Come With

    + 6-10 years Import Regulation/Compliance Management experience in lieu of degree with progressive track record of increasing responsibility in supply chain, retail, finance and/or international fields

    + International Business or Logistics BS Degree or equivalent experience in retail, international and supply chain areas.

    + Customs Brokerage license preferred but not required

    + Knowledge in the movement of goods internationally and domestically as well as customs clearance and foreign country rules and regulations.

    + Experience in a fast paced, dynamic supply chain and office environment in addition to demonstrated experience and success developing and implementing a strong, positive and solid team.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills.

    + Analytical problem solver.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications ( _i.e.,_ **Excel** , Word, Email, Power Point, Adobe, Access and Google Sheets).
