Informatics Associate (Antibody Discovery)
Focus: Antibody Library Technologies, NGS, Python/R
We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.
Are you a scientist who discovered a passion for coding? We are looking for an Informatics Associate to join our antibody discovery group at IQVIA Labs. In this role, you aren’t building abstract statistical models; you are the technical bridge between our sequencing lab and our data pipelines. You will write the code (R/Python) that turns biological samples into meaningful research insights.
What You’ll Do
+ **Informatics Support:** Support antibody discovery and library technologies with a focus on Sanger and NGS sequencing.
+ **Workflow Design:** Design and execute backend bioinformatics workflows for antibody discovery pipelines.
+ **Technical Troubleshooting:** Independently resolve technical challenges within the informatics group.
+ **Data Mastery:** Use R, Python, and SQL to assess sequencing quality (FASTQ, ABI, FASTA) and prioritize research leads.
+ **Collaboration:** Act as the technical translator between wet-lab scientists and engineering teams.
What We Are Looking For
+ **Education** : Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or Molecular Biology (Recent grads welcome) OR a Bachelor’s with 2+ years of relevant lab/informatics experience.
+ **Coding** : Proficiency in Python or R is required.
+ **Domain Expertise** : A strong understanding of DNA/amino acid processing and NGS platforms (Illumina/PacBio).
