Major/Essential Functions:

+ Contributes to the university's mission through research and service

+ Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

+ Design, implementation and maintenance of custom data products and tools

+ Interactions with project partners and user groups

+ Research and dissemination

+ Close collaboration with several State of Texas and National Weather Service partners involving occasional travel to work closely with those entities.

+ Experience handling observational weather data from systems like surface weather stations and weather radars

+ Expertise in visualization and mapping tools (such as ArcGIS) tailored to high-impact weather scenarios

Annualized Pay Range:

$86,800 - $112,900 - $138,900
