Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator based in Dahlgren, Virginia, to deliver technical assistance and provide solutions for common failures through customer support. This Windows Systems Administrator must have an active Secret Clearance, IAT Level 2 Certification, Security+, and a high school diploma. This role requires 4+ years' experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and other network related issues. This role also requires strong expertise in installing, maintaining, and managing computer systems within LAN/WAN environments, as well as proficiency in workstation configuration. This Windows Systems Administrator will provide hardware support for Intel Core-based PCs, telecommunications equipment, laser printers, overhead projectors, and Common Access Cards (CAC). They must have experience supporting Microsoft-supported Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and specialized engineering and scientific development tools. Responsibilities include performing system upgrades, installing new software releases, and deploying patches to resolve software-related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs). This candidate will monitor and maintain the ServiceNow platform and mailbox to ensure timely responses to user assistance requests. They will respond to inquiries regarding installation, configuration, and customization of assigned products on Windows 11 computers and manage support requests through ServiceNow using established Incident Ticket and Change Request processes. A strong understanding of Active Directory, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Windows operating systems currently support by Microsoft is essential, along with familiarity with Linux operating systems. Additional responsibilities include creating monthly status reports, maintaining data files, and overseeing system configurations to ensure data integrity. The candidate must also collaborate with Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to obtain system accreditation and ensure compliance with DoD security accreditation procedures and networking standards. Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills are critical. The salary for this role ranges from $75,000-$80,000, depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements

-Active Secret Clearance, IAT level 2 Cert, and Sec-High school diploma

-4 years' experience with specific assistance in troubleshooting, software, hardware, and other network related issues

-Strong expertise in installing, maintaining, and managing computer systems within LAN/WAN environments and using workstations

-Experience with hardware support, such as Intel Core-based PCs, telecommunications equipment, laser printers, overhead projectors, and Common Access Cards (CAC)

-Experience with software support, such as Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and a range of specialized engineering and scientific development tools

-Ability to perform system upgrades, installation of new software releases, and evaluation and deployment of patches to address software-related problems and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs)

-Experience utilizing advanced diagnostic methods to find issues, analyze root causes, and give solutions for common failures

-Ability to monitor and maintain the organizational ServiceNow/mailbox to provide timely responses and support to user assistance requests

-Experience responding to inquiries regarding installation, configuration, installation, and customization of assigned products on Windows 11 computers

-Experience with the Change Request and Incident Ticket process to manage support requests through ServiceNow

-Strong understanding of Active Directory, active Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), along with Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Strong understanding of Windows operating systems currently supported by Microsoft

-Understanding of Linux operating systems

-Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills

-Understanding of the Department of Defense (DOD) security accreditation procedures, processes, and networking

-Experience creating monthly status reports, upkeeping data files, and overseeing system configurations to ensure data safety.

-Experience collaborating with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to obtain system accreditation -BA/BS degree
